MSNBC: Trump tried to make a deal with Speaker Pelosi on the whistleblower complaint...

“The President actually said to Nancy Pelosi, ‘Hey, can we do something about this whistleblower complaint, can we work something out.’ And she said ‘Yes, you can tell your people to obey the law.’ So she quickly swatted that down." - @HeidiNBC

He himself knew that people were trying to tell him to act like a normal person for years - but he laughed about it and mocked the notion.

To hell with him. He had his chance and blew it badly.

If Mitch is dumping Chump - and that looks to be the case now - impeachment is the last thing Chump wants. Chump will do nothing but delay and obfuscate from here on out.

While most of Kentucky is ruby red, many farmers there have been seriously hurt by Trump’s stupid trade wars. And if you want to bring foreign powers into the election, what might the Chinese have to say about the Chao family and the influence their money has purchased? There was also that incident some years ago of drugs smuggled into the US on a family ship. Some voters in Kentucky are also just tired of Mitch and his permanent role of obstructing anything but tax cuts for the rich—though many do like his putting rabid, racist, right-wing judges on the federal bench.

... and it couldn't happen soon enough for all of us!

I saw a post yesterday on DU, even Mitt Romney is signalling that he's ready to bail on this fiasco. Chump will be gone even before winter hits. I'm guessing either Chump will outright resign (soon) or he'll sit back and watch another right-winger receive the nod in the GOP primary run.

Whoever runs for president for the GOP is wasting his time, they'll just put out a sacrificial lamb. Remember George McGovern in 1972? They'll put up a candidate even weaker than McGovern, I'm thinking. Mitt Romney won't want to lose again, I'm sure. Maybe Rand Paul or Ted Cruz? I don't know & don't care.

He said the Rs he talked to earlier in the day were supporting the WH's refusal to turn it over, but something changed between his informal discussions and the vote.

They've had days to cook up a new version and it will only make things worse since the whistleblower is going to testify. Kind of like Nixon's transcripts being compared to the Watergate tapes. No match.

Also shows how very stupid he is. Like Pelosi is dumb enough to ever trust you in a deal after you've burned her and the caucus so many times. It's almost laughable how stupid and ignorant and out of touch with reality he truly is - if he weren't holding the office of president.
