Trump is still a very useful asset to Putin. And I believe that many Republicans received money from the Russians through bogus businesses, PAC's, and the NRA...and Putin has the names and amounts.

Trump is the lead puppet in Putin's show and the Republican party are the supporting actors, and they will not stray from the script they've been given.

As you say it's Trump's base, not the Republican base...and that base will turn on any Republican office holder who attempts to pull their support from Trump...
