So, if the HOUSE votes to Impeach Trump.

That means he is impeached?

Then the Senate has to vote to Convict.

Whats the time frame, after the House has voted to impeach Trump, does the
Senate vote to convict.

Also what is the majority of votes in the House do they need to impeach
and what is the majority in the senate do they need to convict.

5. It's hard to say what the Senate would do

I forget who said it, but I read the other day that there are about 30 or so Republicans who would vote to convict if the vote were by secret ballot. The Senate cannot vote by secret ballot though, which makes the politics much more interesting.

Senate Majority Leader McConnell might decide that his best chance at keeping the Senate Republican in the next election is to throw Trump under the bus, whip his members to convict, and move on with a President Pence's as the incumbent President in 2020.

Then again, he could decide to circle the wagons and protect Trump, but I don't see what buys him.

6. If the House votes to impeach, then he is impeached

It takes a simple majority of the House to impeach. The last I heard, there were 224 members who supported an impeachment inquiry (not necessarily impeachment). If, after the inquiry that is going on right now, the House votes to impeach, it would take a vote of 218 to impeach him. It would then move to the Senate.

The Senate requires a two thirds vote of those present to convict and remove. So if everyone was present, it would take 67 votes to remove him. There are 45 Democrats in the Senate along with two independents who usually vote with the Dems. We would need 20 Republicans to vote to convict before Trump was removed from office.
