I NEVER thought Trump actually wanted to be President and this seems a least plausible. He'll end up saying, ad nauseum, that he would have won had the fake news been against him all along. Heck, he may even sue a few news organizations just for fun.

One thing I'm certain of is that if he is impeached, and then either resigns or is convicted, there will be a pardon to "heal the country". Because America is not actually a Republic anymore.

The states of New York, New Jersey, and others will be waiting in the wings to arrest Trump and his spawn for Tax fraud, Real Estate Fraud, and other state crimes that ARE NOT protected under Federal statutes. State Courts and Prisons are far more notorious for dispensing of justice. Trump's Big Mac is cooked regardless of what he does. For the states will have the jurisdiction to freeze all of his financial and real estate assets within the US and perhaps around the world. The Trump name will be useless.

His financial records will be released as part of a State criminal investigation, all past dealings, as well as that of his elder children. His Empire gets taken over and uncovered for the public to read.

is way up for grabs due to what we don't know. There are so many variables that I really hesitate to speculate too much because, well, that can get way out there.

I do think that scenario could be possible, but one way or another, even though I am biased, Trump would do best for himself, (which is the most important thing in his whole Universe) to really consider resigning his way out of this. It would be most prudent at this juncture.

The more that is discovered, it seems, the more embroiled he is. Despite our concerns about the success of impeachment in the House, or the punishment dolled out by the Senate in that event, what we are seeing is going to damage him bigly.

It would destroy his delusion of a Trump Dynasty, akin to Kennedys and Bushes.

He has plans to install at least Ivanka, Jared, and/or Junior.

If he resigns, it hurts the brand. Think about it: the RNC is not going to return the calls from Ivanka, nor will it get traction fund-raising on her behalf. Without Trump, the kids wither and die on the vine.
