and had a surreal experience with the lady on the phone. For some reason, she needed to confide personal stuff as became evident early in the conversation. Something went off the rails in our discussion about the style of the boot and she started to ramble...
---"not a good style of boot because not everyone likes a pointy toe. This man I was involved with would like something like that on me but it's not my style..." and then it got more and more personal about her relationship with some guy.
I was nice but I think I tried to hard to be nice.
Anyway, I think she needed somebody to listen to her because she upgraded my return and exchange with a non-pointy toed boot.
God knows what will arrive in a box from Zappos. I'm a little afraid to order something from that company again...
Edit to add: She went on my Facebook page while we were on the phone and told me that I looked nice and very interesting...

(2,097 posts)At first, I thought this poor lady just is a people person and doesn't really understand professional boundaries. I also thought you're a nice person for not cutting her off. I thought all that right up until the point where she stalked you on Facebook. Now she's just creepy and wrong and all kinds of nope.
No, no, no, no... NO. Creepy Zappos Lady, stop that.
