The Second Circuit Court of Appeals in NYC rejected his lawyers' argument that he's immune from the judicial process.

I believe they’ve all been brought into his cult.

Roberts might dissent though

as NY, start requesting copies of his tax papers, tax returns, etc. to investigate, being that there seems to be discrepancies in the returns vs. other facts that have been revealed. I would. He's probably cheated on his taxes massively everywhere.

Doubt they'll let this just stand though. Kavanaugh and Gorsuch should recuse themselves, but they won't.

Let's hope Roberts doesn't want to live with turning the President into a monarch as part of his legacy.

I can't say I know about Nixon's appointees. I was only in 6th grade at the time and it wasn't important to me.

I suspect he appointed qualified people who may have had some inherent biases. I doubt they were such obvious political stacking of the court that Trumps appointees are. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Guess which SCOTUS Justice is assigned to the 2nd Circuit--none other than the Notorious RBG! She's not likely to take a case that doesn't have merit.

30. The full Supreme Court?
Mon Nov 4, 2019, 02:40 PM
Nov 2019

It requires 4 justices to hear a case. I'm not exactly sure how this works though. Since RBG controls the 2nd Circuit that this case is based in, I'm not sure if 4 other Justices can overrule her and demand it be heard, or if they can only agree to it if she allows the full court to decide if they want to hear it.

33. I read a bunch of the Manafort criminal court cases

A number were based on his tax returns and banking/financial info

Even the ardent Trumpsters on the jury couldn't find any way to ignore some of the cases because they were so clear cut.

Having watched what happened with Manafort and knowing one is guilty of similar stuff would be pretty terrifying. And they can get him on a state level for a bunch of that stuff - he can't pardon his way out of it.

Further, if he's hoping his re-election will buy him another four years and toll out the statute of limitations, he will lose some support when folks find out he isn't worth nearly as much dough as he claimed he was. Maybe he's effectively bankrupt except for income from the Russian oligarchs ... which will further implcate how the President of the US is effectively owned by Russians.

If stuff like that comes out, his house of political cards implodes.
