(56,828 posts)but, Nunes only won by 5 points last time in a fairly red district, so I think he's vulnerable.

(36,428 posts)And California has that Open Primary thingy so this race could get interesting.
Andrew Janz, who raised more than $9.2 million in an unsuccessful challenge to Nunes in the 2018 election, is getting behind financial adviser and Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce board member Phil Arballo for the 2020 San Joaquin Valley congressional race.

(23,340 posts)Is there one Dem and one Rep? Or, do the top two vote-getters compete in the General?
I saw a bunch of signage for Nunes when I drove through the district (on my way to Sequoia/Kings Canyon parks). Maybe that's just the big landowners' signs, hopefully.

But I guarantee we will see anti Nunes billboards after California's early primary. Mad Dog PAC and The Democratic Coalition put put up some good ones for the midterms election

By those rules, however, if Devin (or Russia) funded one more Republican and four more Democrats in the primary, he could split the votes so the General would only have two Republicans on the ballot, right?

(36,428 posts)It's a horribly red district and they vote (R), but they are not necessarily enamored with the ass, Nunes.
Hell, most people in his district have never even seen him:
