I am happy about Kentucky and the big win, but.....

we still have a lot of work to do! We have to make it count and make it a complete blowout! If we can win in Kentucky, Virginia, Montana and Alabama? We can win in Nebraska, Texas and other red states! Only if we get out and fight for our votes to be heard! It won't be easy, but we are looking at Trump and minions destroying the rest of what is left! That alone should be the reason to fight back and loud!

KY people got rid of a Repub they didn't like by voting Dem, but did their best to check the Dems with other candidates.

It IS a wonderfully encouraging sign, but never to forget that we will be seeing this same thing in many districts and states in the GE. The less reassuring the Democratic nominee is to indies and moderates on both right and left, the more likely some will vote Repub downballot to "balance" the risk.

Exactly that happened when we elected our first black (Democrat) president. America chose him by a large margin, but some in that margin chose to balance this big advance step with congress under control of Republican knuckledraggers. And state governments.

As you say, lots of work to do. Smart work.

that this win is pretty much in the category of Doug Jones' win in Alabama over Roy Moore. Once the GOP down south gets back to nominating candidates who are not on the fringe with their personal lives, they'll probably win reliably again.

We're being divided into two nations, I could see that with CNN's reporting of the KY election early in the evening. The places that voted Democratic four years ago were stronger blue, but the rural counties were stronger red as a counter-reaction. It was the rage of the suburbs that defeated Bevin, just like what happened a year ago when a bunch of US House seats flipped from red to blue.
