Republicans are now floating their latested CT: Sondland revised his testimony, in a way very detrimental to Trump, because somebody got to him and forced him to do so.
Well, where was that theory when Mulvaney told the world, on live TV no less, that there was a quid-pro-quo get over it! and then insisted that he hadnt said what millions of people heard him say just hours before?
Who got to Mulvaney? Who forced him to recant his own words?
Sondland had a very compelling reason to revise his testimony - to avoid being charged with perjury.
So exactly what was Mulvaney's reason for not only 'revising' his statements about a quid-pro-quo, but insisting that he never made those statements in the first place?

(15,041 posts)that everyone else contradicted his false testimony. After a change and a good shower he ran back to Congress to "revise" his testimony. "Revise," yeah, okay... nice euphemism.
Even dullards like Sondland are realizing that Trump does not have the attention-span, nor the empathy, nor the gratitude to pre-emptively pardon everyone who he needs to perjure themselves in order for him to get away with everything, AND that the stature of limitations is longer than Trump's likely remaining time in office.

(2,050 posts)Always, as I read way back in the start of this nightmare the word was
FOLLOW THE MONEY
after all I think 45* is guilty of grand theft if that's the correct word for it
He didn't just deny Ukraine what had been given them, he didn't just commit extortion with it
He stole it, he used it as if it was his money, no matter where it came from, and that's theft plain and simple
I read a post earlier that asked where colludy keeps getting money to fly around the world, pay lawyers, living expenses and et all
That money was stolen from somebody before it ended up in his pocket, same with all the money (Rubles) washed through the nra
It's not only that they created the largest criminal conspiracy in history
They had to pay for it
With someone else's stolen money
As such they should all go away for life in my opinion
You may not be able to convict them of all they have tried to pull off and at least the history books will bring most if not all of it out
I'd really love to see theft charges along with everything else that's coming
But the money had to come from somewhere, hopefully they're looking at that too
