Attorneys for Trump argued that the money was always used for charitable purposes within the law, such as in 2014 when Trump bid $10,000 of foundation money on a portrait of himself at a charity auction benefiting the Unicorn Foundation. Also, another big question is why corruption in Ukraine only started to matter once Biden had announced his candidacy and was so far ahead in the polls? What was significant now that wasn't a priority for over 2-1/2 years prior?
