(43,226 posts)Probably what they wanted to get at was claiming that Clinton somehow directed Alexandra Chalupa--a Ukrainian-American who had done some DNC contracting work in the past--to get incriminating documents from the Ukrainian government on Paul Manafort being paid millions under the table in (stolen) cash by Ukrainian's deposed former autocratic leader, Viktor Yanukovych.
A couple problems with that argument.
1. There's no evidence whatsoever that either the Clinton campaign or the DNC directed Chalupa to get the documents; she travelled to Ukraine on her own accord and the fact that she offered to share the documents with the DNC (and the media) after the fact is wholly irrelevant.
2. Unlike the hacked emails the Trump campaign was benefitting from vis-à-vis the Russians and Wikileaks, the documents provided by the Ukrainians to Chalupa were not illegally obtained. (They had in fact been left behind by Yanukovych after he fled the country for Russia.)
3. The documents Chalupa did get were authentic (Manafort's own accountant confirmed this) and incredibly incriminating against the former Trump campaign manager, and helped lead to Manafort's conviction on tax evasion charges.
So I still have to know how these idiots think bringing this up would help them in any sort of way. It only brings further attention to Manafort's dirty deeds.

Next up: TrumPutin tried to extort Ukraine to produce Obama's real birth certificate.
I hereby volunteer to help construct the dungeon in which to put these mobsters.
