Interesting new detail in this latest from NYT on Trump-Barr tension. Admin seems to be beta testing a defense of Barr could not recall Trump asking him for presser. Kinda soft, given Trumps forceful denial, & seems to address a direct Trump-to-Barr ask, which was not reported

(4,690 posts)1. I heard on NPR that the ask was done through surrogates
so technically Trump did not ask Barr personally. Technically.🙄

I don't remember anyone asking me to hold a press conference, for example.

on those pro-tRUMP details he vividly remembers??

Dont lie in the record, that is what cost Nixon his job. Just keep repeating I dont recall; I cant remember, etc

His greatest legacy is if you lie all the time on the record no-one can keep up with the bullshit and all truth is seen as relative.
