We were at a crossroad before we decided to enter WWII.
Our country has been at many crossroads.
It may be that we are at another crossroad? One that will determine what type of government we wish to live with or under? Do we want to continue to live under a democracy with freedom of speech and freedom of the press or do we wish to live under something else? That is our decision.
Do we want to strive for human rights and equality in our country or do we want division and survival of the fittest?
Do we wish to go forward or to go backward?
On the gearshift, the "D" is for Drive and the "R" is for Reverse.

Automobiles have the D-Drive, N-Neutral and R-Reverse gears.
There's no R-Reverse gear in human beings. If you wish to stop, the best you'll ever do is put yourself in N-Neutral gear, if only for a short while.
