Nunes wants Schiff to testify in a closed door hearing! For what reason, you might asked? Who really knows? Nunes and the GOPers are upset that their own rules are coming back to bite them! Schiff announced last week that the hearing would no longer be held behind closed doors! Thus making the GOPers panic even more!
Let's remember the GOPers made these rules when they could not get things to go their way. Always moving the goal post and rules to suit them and them only!

(9,426 posts)He was in the closed hearings before, and was caught sneaking over to the WH, ditching his security detail, to report to tRump. Sneaky, smarmy creep. Even his cows don't like him, I would bet. What do these clowns expect to get from tRump? He only takes care of himself, nobody else matters. When he goes down, he will take as many others with him as he can, trying to make himself look better.

(23,099 posts)Just hope & pray there's nothing they can do about breaking these rules if the Dems stand firm - which I expect they would.
However, one concern, can Schiff, as Majority Chair for the committee, just reject the closed door demand? Is there anything "cowface" (Nunes) can do to force Schiff to have this closed door meeting where he can threaten him and/or Dems (then immediately leak pre-selected info)? I sure hope not!!

(2,150 posts)One objective of the hearings should be to point out the members of the House and Senate who are participating in the Administration's bribery, extortion, and witness intimidation. Shine a spotlight on those co-conspirators in Congress to make it plain that their votes are part and parcel of corruption at the heart of this.
Outside of a trial on articles of Impeachment, you would never have somebody on a jury who participated in committing the crime, or who was in constant contact with the accused before and during the trial.
