...and the psychology of a win is HUGE!!

A Santorum win going into the NH primary would have meant a world of difference to
Santorum's campaign. That's undeniable.

He would have won the PR war for sure.

Slapping the word "win" on this thing after pumping in more cash by orders of magnitude is actually more pathetic than dramatic.

If this turns out to be true, I can't wait for the dueling press conferences of Romney and Santorum, they should be classic!

the Iowa GOP is REFUSING to release the final totals of each precinct.

I find that extremely odd.

I was an Iowa precinct captain in 2008 for Obama, and we put our vote totals online and they were also
publicly posted.

I smell a rat here.

In the article posted in the OP--the GOP is talking smack about this guy and saying that he has no business speaking
about the election. Really now? This pisses me off. I don't like anyone stealing votes in my state and those final
results SHOULD be made public. Otherwise, these final totals (which apparently the Republicans want to keep secret)
could be ANY NUMBERS! Iowans have a right to make sure that the totals on paper--that were used to decide
the election--are the official numbers that the precinct captains and election chairs reported into the Central Offices.

CRAZY!

This guy has the final vote tally--the handwritten tally.

The tally from the precinct does not match with the final vote that was reported. Obviously
there is an error that changes the caucus results--and changes who the winner was.

If so, they just cannot sweep this under the rug.

And we all know that the Republican-establishment machine--driven by Karl Rove--wants Mittens. So, I'm sure
his chubby little fingers are furiously dialing his media contacts and telling them to keep running the Casey Anthony
video and ignore this tidbit. But still...this just can't be hidden.

Especially given the closeness. It's about winning delegates to get the nomination. They each got a whopping 7 delegates (out of something like 1144 needed to win). Republicans no longer have winner-take-all primaries/caucuses (until after March 1, if the state wants it).

I suppose there are bragging rights, but when it's only 8 or 20 votes it's not significant. Santorum got the momentum whether he "won" or not.
