(82,849 posts)In fairness to Mulvaney, anytime he's asked a question about the doings of the White House, he has to know that the deathless truth of this second is likely to be completely contradicted within the next five seconds. So he tried his "get over it" gambit, probably with the full endorsement of Needy Amin, and when it blew up in his face like a novelty cigar, Trump got furious that nobody bought it. Rather than being mad at himself, Trump turned his anger on Mulvaney for doing as he was told.
If Trump feels threatened, Mulvaney or someone else (Conway?) is going to get cashiered, because Trump's going to need the diversion. Although some guy on the internet (me) can suss this out, we'll see if the folks making seven figures for reporting on the political scene can grok it.
