Here's an interesting take on Trump's surprise visit to Walter Reed.

Never Trump Republican predicts surprise Walter Reed visit an ‘excuse’ to resign for ‘health reason’

President Donald Trump made a surprise visit to Walter Reed Hospital on Saturday to undergo “portions” of his annual physical.

Following the visit, press secretary Stephanie Grisham claimed Trump was “healthy” and “without complaints” after the presidential motorcade returned to the White House.

Conservative pundit Cheri Jacobus suggested the visit was a political move to tee up Trump’s resignation — and pardoning.

She said Trump is “getting his annual physical 3 months early is so he can quickly resign for alleged ‘health reasons’ now that he’s guilty as hell and has nowhere left to run and hide.”

I can see him doing this instead of waiting for the results of impeachment.

Today I made a bet with my brother that Trump will resign in the next 6 months. I wouldn't be surprised at all if is in the next six weeks, or .....WITHIN THE NEXT SIX DAYS........why...exactly what you said...

TRUMP HAS INDEED LOST.!!! ALL THE INFO IS OUT THERE....HE IS DOWN 103 TO ZERO IN THE LAST 3 MINUTES OF THE FOOTBALL GAME.

TRUMP HAS LOST, AND HIS TEAMMATES KNOW HE HAS LOST....

We will have a big party when he goes..."hasta la vista baby"!!!!......

With Nikki Haley as VP.

The only tiny problem with his plan is - he can't be pardoned for state crimes. And Cyrus Vance has a nice little bucketful waiting for him.

Any VP appointed by Pence would need to be approved by BOTH houses of Congress. Pelosi has no obligation to approve Haley, Romney or anybody else

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he ditched out for health reasons, phony or otherwise. In either case, it's VERY Trumpian.

If he gets any cognitive decline on record (does not have to be full-blown dementia), he can hold it in reserve and use as a final option to leave and claim victory. "I made America great again-but it ruined my health.

I think he will want his lawyers to make deals that will allow him to escape charges and be able to maintain a lavish lifestyle at Mar e Lago and of course he will expect a pardon from his successor.

He's been obese for ages

Have those psychiatrists who judged him to be mentally unfit to do a stress assessment - often a score - on how much stress he has in his life. I'll bet his stress levels are very bad.

Now, he brought them on himself and he's caused considerable stress on the people he governs and many around the world so I have zero sympathy.

But he's a heart attack waiting to happen if he didn't have a rumble already.

I doubt he wants that because he's in a weaker negotiating position. And the only thing that could save him is reelection in terms of statute of limitations of his crimes. I doubt NY would prosecute him while he is in office.
