Who Coined The Term 'Never Trumper?' And....

what exactly does it mean?

Used in a sentence: He/she is a 'never Trumper'.

And is a 'Never Trumper' worse than a 'Trumper' that was a 'Trumper' at one time and isn't still a 'Trumper' now?

I first heard the term when it became apparent that Trump might actually seize the republican presidential nomination. There was a last-ditch effort to stop him which was unfortunately unsuccessful...

...how did so many “never Trumpers” get into the TRUMP ADMINISTRATION when all they apparently want to do is destroy it from within? I thought Trump only hired “the best people?”

4. It started off as a Twitter hashtag after Trump won the Nevada primary

As the Republican presidential primary developed, the Republican field crowded to at least twelve notable candidates as of Iowa Caucuses[7], though at times it had at least seventeen candidates.[32] Analysts have suggested that the large field divided traditional Republican voters in early primary contests, allowing Trump to achieve victory even when polls indicated Republicans' preference for one of the other candidates.[8] Though Trump had already received substantial criticism from many Republicans prior to 2016,[22] some Republican commentators and strategists suggested that the field narrow and that Republican voters consolidate around a single, non-Trump candidate to combat Trump's initial victories. Early advocates of this strategy include the editorial board of the National Review, a conservative political magazine, which made it the magazine's editorial policy to oppose Trump's candidacy.[9]

On February 26th, 2016, the hashtag #NeverTrump began trending worldwide on Twitter, [1] primarily in response to Donald Trump's victory in the Nevada primaries and an endorsement from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

#NeverTrump Has Been Trending on Twitter Since Last Night and Even Rubio is Playing Along

Last night, #NeverTrump started trending on Twitter and shows no real signs of slowing down. The bipartisan effort is almost inspiring, showing that people from all parties, religions, and races really can come together and stand united on an issue. It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon, so maybe we could all take a second to imagine that this unification is what Donald Trump has been secretly working toward all along. When he called Mexicans rapists, insulted Megyn Kelly, and proposed banning all Muslims from entering the United States, maybe he was really trying to bring people together.

Theoretically, it refers to Republicans who refuse to support or vote for Trump.

Trump uses it the same way he does "fake news", as poo to throw at anything that fails to support him.

Personally, in my opinion they're the people responsible for Trump's presidency. The professionals among them spent their careers in Republican messaging and conservative media creating what is now Trump's base. They fostered the hatred of Democrats, the absolutism, the loathing of "backsliders" among them, the apocalyptic vision, the open hatred, and -- above all -- the information bubble that Trump simply walked into and took over. He's drag racing on the road they built, which they built to be their road.

And the non-professionals are also responsible for him because they "could not vote for that woman!" Both the Green and Libertarian Parties got about 3 times more votes than they did in 2012, but the Libertarians got three times what the Greens did. Every criticism about purity and swallowing propaganda directed at the Goobers also applies to the "reasonable" Republicans who voted for Johnson because they would not vote for Hillary, and they were the lion's share of the spoiler vote.

"Who are the #NeverTrump people?"

https://www.wordslingersok.com/2016/05/who-are-the-nevertrump-people/

Here is the first tweet of #NeverTrump (Joined February 2016) that I can see dated 17 Mar 2016:

It's interesting reading the tweets and articles written by Republicans in early 2016 talking about Trump's character flaws, lack of experience and being unfit for the job of president.

I know there must be many still inside the Trump bootlicker circle that are now secretly wishing they'd chosen the Never Trump path.
