Zelensky *didn't* publically commit to an "investigation".

ETA: retracted... as this was before his inauguration...

was his public pronouncement about starting an investigation into "the Burisma basket" as Tim Morrison referred to it.

But, since those dates were prior even to his inauguration, such an event was impossible, so my guess was wrong.

However, it's likely that the non-public equivalent was not forthcoming and would have produced that same effect.
