This is high art.

I am in awe of what is happening tonight. Some observations...

The Democrats are bringing the battle directly to the Republicans. Normally, you do not mention your opponent at these affairs. But not only has the DNC put forth their vision, but they brought the battle to the Republicans in explicit terms.

Some highlights tonight...

The passion, especially the Congressional women. Whoa! Don't piss them off. Unfortunately, that's what the Republican Congress did. Their fail; our gain.

The soft spoken. I give you Harry "Golden Gloves" Reid and Jimmie Carter. Even they took the battle on -- but sotta voce. Gotta love it.

Again! This is high art.

Listening to the keynote now. This is devastating to the Republicans. They've set out their case and the Dems are disembowelling them.

And this is only the first night.

My favorite, but I am biased, is the speech that brought tears to Joe Biden, and to me. Tammy Duckworth. While the Republicans totally ignored the military in their convention, I wouldn't want any other person in the world to rebut that than Tammy. As a Lt. Col. she earned it. But that is not what it is about. Her courage and her love of her country when all was crashing down upon her is the measure of a person. Many would sit down and say that they've done enough. Not Tammy Duckworth.

Go to her Wikipedia page here: Tammy Duckworth and learn her incredible story.

People talk about future presidents here all the time. I'd put my money on Tammy.

Did a super-fantastic job! The speeches are wonderful! The message is clear: We Are the United States of America, and we aren't going to let the plutocrats and oligarchs steal it!
