Sondland: I dont see how you can call it an irregular channel when you are talking to the president of the united states, the secretary of state, the white house chief of staff, the energy secretary.

(7,947 posts)There's a regular channel, and Rudy's running on the top of the train with his meager hair blowing in the wind.

(146,288 posts)Nobody gives a damn what happens to Rudy, so he'll be sacrificed on the altar of subterfuge and distraction before long.
"We were deceived by Giuliani," it will be said. "We trusted him, but he betrayed us. Off with his head." His sacrifice will be planned to serve to purify the others and absolve them. That's probably the plan, anyhow.
Trump will lead the way, "I always had the greatest respect for 'America's Mayor.' How was I to know he would betray me?"
I think that will be the strategy, anyhow. I don't think it will work, though.

(11,736 posts)Unless Giuliani knows that there is a pardon for him, but even then, his ego is such that he won't want to be implicated as a dirtbag even though he is one.
Giuliani knows where all the bodies are buried and if he thinks that he is being thrown under the bus, he will save his own butt.

(146,288 posts)all away. Assuming he survives, anyhow. He's old, you know. Things happen to old people, sometimes.

(4,341 posts)I feel that Sondland's opening statement was more than enough, no wonder Nunes told Schiff they wanted the recess, they had to change a lot of what they had prepared, Sondland made the case against trump on that statement.
Dan Goldberg and Schiff have been brilliant.

(8,727 posts)His opening, Welcome for a day of smearing after the shameful shit yesterday against a military hero, made this veteran vomit. Give us a hour or so with him, cows will be the least of his hell to come. Chick Fillet should denounce his lying ass. Not very Jesusy.

(24,284 posts)except for jacketoff Jordan screaming. The only thing they can do now is call Sondland a "known liar". And I bet that's exactly what they are going to do.

(14,964 posts)I cannot decide if Sondland is merely a moron or merely trying to save his own ass, or both (I suspect both, I am not ruling out merely moron, but I suspect merely ass-saving is insufficient as an explanation).
