BREAKING: Devin Nunes To Take Swift Legal Action Against CNN For Demonstrably False Story
He'll never file that lawsuit. He would be deposed under oath by CNN's attorneys. This is a bullshit threat.

(2,855 posts)MacMahon did not say the meetings were specifically related to Russia but confirmed they were part of Nunes investigative work. The meetings took place as the then-chairman of the House Intelligence Committee led an investigation into the origins of former special counsel Robert Muellers Russia investigation.
Nunes aide Derek Harvey participated in the meetings, MacMahon told the outlet. Congressional records show that Nunes and three aides traveled to Europe in November of last year at a cost of $63,000 to taxpayers.

(54,379 posts)He will have to testify under oath and be grilled by CNN's very media law-savvy attorneys. Nunes then either withdraws the suit or imitates a particularly Republican form of rodent: the tailless squirm.

(9,426 posts)someone throw a large cow pie at his ugly mug. These gop members are so dense, they must think we do not read about their escapades. Obviously they think anything goes. Are they expecting dear leader to be in office for the rest of his life? The gop acts as though they can do as they please, no restrictions apply. Nunes is SO incompetent, how is he still in office?

(54,379 posts)"Frechheit siegt." Difficult to translate precisely, it basically means the more outlandish you dare to be, the more you get away with it (the name "Trump" comes to mind). It only stops when a significant number of people say, "ENOUGH!"

(9,426 posts)is the personification of that expression. He is SO "out there" as to be exasperating. Are there any intelligent people in the gop, or are they all as unhinged as tRump?

(54,379 posts)Evil isn't always stupid. Machiavelli was intelligent. Stalin was intelligent. Mao was intelligent. For that matter, Frank Luntz and Mitch McConnell are intelligent. Some intelligent people, especially those not burdened with a conscience, see their intelligence as a means to acquire power and/or wealth. To some, power is the greater trip, and they keep their wealth in the background.
The big difference is that Democrats see education of the masses as an asset. Republicans see the ignorance of the masses as an asset. That is why they have Fox "News" and we have MSNBC.

Devin Nunes is totally screwed. Hell, I would not be surprised if Nunes' Uber driver is called as a witness at some point.
