Just like before when enough folks die or there are way too many recalls, the public will yell for food inspections. We could very well be at the tipping point.

Americans live under the illusion that we have safer food than most developed countries, we don’t. In fact we have a system where regulations are being stripped that make it less safe than most. And we have a system of mass production that makes it harder to pull the alarm lever. A bin with $100k worth of meat is a lot harder for workers to flag than a smaller producer would have with a bin with $5K in meat. That’s how it works. If you see a problem with that much value attached to it, it’s more likely it will get let go.
