Valley Congressman Tim Ryan announced a $30 million government investment to AMNOW, the additive manufacturing technology corridor.

Ares in that corridor include Youngstown, Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

That money will be part of a long-term investment strategy aimed at bringing jobs to the Valley.

That funding will be used to help make companies like America Makes become supply chain partners with other companies to build materials for the U.S. Army supply chain.

"It's not just the initial investment, it's not just the research, it's not just the manufacturing around 3d, it's the supply chain that's going to be built around this growing industry," said Ryan.

Because of the additive manufacturing and 3D printing expertise of America Makes, Youngstown was selected as the host city for the Helmet Challenge with the NFL just last week.

Of course, blue dogs Ryan and Doyle could'n't have gotten 30 cents without support from liberal progressive Democrats.
