"She's going to go through some things."

It needs to be repeated over and over again that Trump said that in the transcript. It establishes him as a bad person. That's important.

I heard it mentioned yesterday but I think it should be mentioned more. The Republicans want the transcript read they say. Fine, that line is in there.

We should echo the Republican call to read the transcript.

2. Marie Yovanovich, envoy to Ukraine

NYT story here.

President Trump’s words about Marie L. Yovanovitch, his former ambassador to Ukraine, were ominous. In a telephone conversation that has set off a political crisis for Mr. Trump, he told Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, that she was “bad news.”

“She’s going to go through some things,” he added.

It's an example of just how bad this administration is that something so recent (less than three weeks) has been so completely subsumed by all the rest of the dreck Trump pumps out by the gallon every hour.

because it isn't one. Some words are missing, and some were added.

Call it a WH summary of the call.

7. It's become "the transcript" and it's what Trump and Republicans are telling people to read.

They tell people to read "the transcript" (I know it's a rough memo) in order to pretend there isn't anything in there that worries them. Then they usually "considerately" sum up the contents for the Fox News crowd, ignoring the bad parts.

I think we should read the transcript out loud and emphasize Trump's obvious dirtiness and the disgusting thuggishness of what he said concerning Marie Yovanovitch.

We really should be telling people to really read the transcript.

4. Yes. Ukraine mobsters were framing HER for corruption,

and it seems likely that's what Trump was talking about when he said "bad things" were going to happen to her. She said during her testimony that she didn't believe she was in physical danger, but these were the same kind of people who sent hit men to kill that young anti-corruption activist by throwing acid over her, and she was shocked to her core when she realized our president was scheming with the criminal oligarchy there. Instead of providing the protection of the mighty U.S. to her in a dangerous assignment.

Trump has been involved with organized crime for decades, including the drug trade. He was laundering money big time and doing other business with the Italian mafia until our crime busters mostly shut them down. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, middle Eurasian organized crime spread into western nations, and Trump continued his activities with them, and Putin.

Mentally disordered, yes, and also a very BAD, BAD man, yes.

6. That's a particularly chilling possibility. Trump said "things"

We're arguing about him saying "us" at one point in the transcript. We should be asking why Trump used the word "things" to describe what Marie Yovanovitch was going to "go through."

I guess he didn't want to say what they were?

Trump saying Yovanovitch was going to "go through some things" is thuggish and mob like. I doubt Trump's Republican enablers can make the smell go away. Americans won't like it one bit, imo.

called her to leave Ukraine that night. Trump later announcing that he'd "lost confidence" in her so she was still with State but no longer ambassador just don't sound like the "things" he expected to happen.

Someone after the impeachment vote said this is the death rattle of the Republican Party. Nicolle Wallace sounded unconvinced.

Thuggish, deliberately vague, but unmistakably threatening. That's not bad boy, that's bad guy.

the average Trumplodyte is not an American patriot. They think they are, but they'd rather see the country fall apart than succumb to demographics and history. I'm hoping things don't get violent, but it is looking more and more possible that it could.
