When the WH Celebrated the Diversity of Our Culture

Last night I came across this video of a Women of Soul concert at the WH in 2014. It has the great Jill Scott, Patti LaBelle, Melissa Etheridge, and several others paying tribute to Tina Turner, but even more importantly paying tribute to the great mosaic of the US and our brilliant musical diversity.

And it's beautiful--even as it makes me mourn for what we've lost and hope we can regain at least some of it.

The beauty, soul and laughter in a White House that was alive.

I miss the Obamas.

Thanks, Tisha.
