but even republicans hated reagan and called him whackadoodle back in 1976.
a lot of them really resented his primary challenge against ford, and they thought he was WAY too right-wing.

reagan honed his message much better by 1980, but a lot of republicans still hated him and were afraid on him.
but as usual, dissenting republican voices fall silent or magically fall in line for the general campaign, and eventually reagan of course became an icon to the republican party, and those republicans who didn't like him became independents or democrats.

Thier hatred of the "black man" IS, indeed, that big.
And this is a case on point: I a comipinko, voted for, and will vote again for Obama. He is a long ways away from my ideal candidate.Republofucks are also prone to the "lesser of 2 evils" scenerio.

Reagan was affable, grandfatherly, and could display an "Aw shucks" kind of humility (even if it wasn't sincere).

Romney has none of those qualities. None. No one likes the guy, not even his own team.

. . . .that it's hard to gauge the reaction of voters. We have a great deal of stuff against him, but the focus of voters might not get to as fine a point as we're trying to make in the President's defense. We have to be vigilant and persistent in our advocacy.

And promise I won't let up either. Just something about Republicans that get me fired up. Actually it is everything about them that I dislike. Not hate. Learned not to hate a long time ago. Hate got me nowhere. Just have an extreme dislike of them. Can't hardly explain it.

Now if one needed a blood transfusion I would be the first in line to give a donation. And if one was hungry I would feed them. But as far as liking to be around them? Nope, I don't like that. But if I am forced to be around them I don't just listen to their BS and stay quiet either. I will tell them just what I think about something. Whether they like it or not. Usually they don't like it.

Weird, huh?

from the lens of the political junky. The mass of voters who come out on election day see it as a beauty contest, and Ken Doll has that appeal that will play on the basic psychology of the average totally uninformed voter.

He has a chance of winning this thing. Most people I know who are not political junkies like us see him as a reasonable, intelligent, likable person, not the lunatic he actually is.

He is the only one of the bunch who has a shot at winning in 2012.

Don't underestimate him.

Never underestimate your adversary. Mittens is weird, stiff and slippery, and many GOPers don't like him, but he has the money and the machinery. We have to work hard to be sure he doesn't succeed.
