about cultural sites unless it’s something extolling the existence of the Confederacy

tattoos that are not awful, pierced nose, fake baby bump and hand written slogan with poor grammer on a wife beater, looks like a "white trash" costume to me.

Let’s see: Dollywood, Branson, Twitty City, Grand Ole OPry, any Chick Fil-A , Waffle House or Cracker Barrel location. And of course Graceland and the Noah’s Ark Adventure.

My first thought was: The Alamo.

But it's a monument to supporters of slavery.

I didn't think of the Alamo but I will say that Fort Worth has a fine art museum, The Kimbell. Damn, I wish I could go right now https://www.kimbellart.org/

the recently opened African American museum with its memorial to lynching in Alabama. The Edmund Pettus Bridge. Savannah, Charleston, Atlanta, Cherokee, NC, Asheville, NC.

I can keep going. I've lived in FL for 30 years. Being a Democrat in a red/purple state, in a very red county, is a big challenge and gets frustrating.

OTOH, the Democratic Women's club that I helped to found had 42 people at its first meeting of the year - a record. And that number included 20 new people. Every one of our votes counts and some day, I hope, we can get to a point where we appreciate all our states -- once the Republican menace is gone.

There are wonderful cultural monuments all over this country. I hate seeing DUers once again deriding some states writ large.
