Fighting isn't any fun when the other side can give you a bloody nose. Although Iran would be eventually dominated in a war, the cost for the US could be very, very, high at the outset. Iran already crossed Trump's red-line and he didn't do squat. Iran shot down a civilian airliner and Trump isn't going to do squat.
