Trapped Watching FOX "News"....🤨

Waiting at the Chevy dealer for routine service on my Malibu and FOX “News” is on the TV..... Now, I never normally watch FOX “News” (or really any cable news channels for that matter) but trapped here listening to this tripe while I try reading newspapers on my iPad I’ve rediscovered just how bat shit crazy and truly biased they are. No wonder 40% of the country is absolutely brain washed and continues to support this horror show coming out of the White House!
Now, keeping in mind that their morning “news” shows are SUPPOSED to be real “news” and not right wing opinion like the evening schedule I’m actually stunned at just how much they’ve become the right wing mouth piece of the crazy fringe. 😳🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

I have requested a change from the manager multiple times citing that I am offended by blatant propaganda. So far it has been effective in getting something else on. I have also noticed that most medical offices I go to have HGTV on and no one is upset with that.

There was this giant screen TV in this tiny little side waiting room. The x-ray tech around the corner was the one that wanted faux on. I had to sit right next to the TV since that was the only seat available. I asked the other patients if they wanted to watch this and they all said no. I unplugged the TV and then plugged it back in. A few minutes later the x-ray tech comes back and turned the tv back on. When he left I unplugged it again and then plugged it back in. I should have filed a complaint, but I was high on pain meds and wearing more than one cast. It was awful. I read another post where another DU'er was in a fast food restaurant. They were asked for the remote so they could watch something else. An employee obliged so they locked faux out on the parental settings. Very clever!

I got up and sat in an outer lobby, the guy asked me why I wasn’t in the reception room and I told him I could not watch diarrhea television. He said a customer must have changed it because it’s supposed to be on local tv news. He went in and changed the station back. The old dude who changed it glared at me and I laughed and smiled and got under his skin. He kept making these angry puffing noises which I laughed at every time.

And I don't care what it's tuned to. I've been known to change the channel or even turn if off if I'm alone.

It's truly pathetic that people can't just read a book. Or one of the many delightful magazines that are often in waiting rooms.

Snark aside, at least 99% of the population has a cell phone, and the vast majority of them spend most of their waking hours doing I have no idea what with it, but are hunched over the thing. So no TV is needed in waiting rooms these days.

Me, I always have a book in my purse to while away the time.

FINALLY an older guy comes in and says this won’t stay, got the dealership manager and had him change it to the Weather Channel! Who could be offended by the weather (unless you’re a climate change denier of course!)? A few of us cheered and another couple of older guys sat stone faced and looked pissed off, but kept their mouths shut. The manager apologized and says someone working at the dealership must have taken the remote from his office and changed it when he wasn’t in there. It’s supposed to be on Weather Channel or any non-cable news channel. I thanked him and suggested he “parental control” and lock out ALL the cable news channels. 👍🏻😎😁
