Socialised Medicine? The Horror!!!

My partner had a health crisis last night. We decided to wait and see if the situation had improved this morning and it hadn't. So I call an ambulance. They were here in less than 15 minutes. Thorough check over and off they went to Accident and Emergency. Saw a doctor within 20 minutes. Barrage of tests, some medical interventions, a referral to the right expert department (to be seen within the next two weeks) and home within 5 hours in total.

Cost of invoice - well there wasn't one, of course...

How could anyone not agree that this is a great model for the average chap and chapette? How could anyone who is being clobbered by the private insurance model ever vote to continue being mugged by the system every time they get sick, when it does not have to be that way? It is not logical.

How many wealthy people are you depriving of their fix with those shenanigans? America puts the right people first who deserve what is deservable!

I have been playing with a word like "commonsist". Even though it sounds similar to communist, it is the product of looking for a new word that expresses the value of the commons as the common will for the common good which I think really could be a pivotal sign for a counterpoint to exceptional greed,(wealth addiction and coddling and catering to it) and the focus on profit only.

So, I can say, quite confidently and proudly that I am a commonsist. I think it hearkens back to the days of the Founders in a way.

that's why Paul Revere rode through the streets of Greater Boston yelling "Those MF'ing Redcoats with socialized medicine are coming"..... "Run for your lives, but don't get hurt because there is a co-pay"...... "Let's meet the bastards at Lexington and Concord and shoot their asses off....USA...USA...USA!!!

That's how pushed the redcoats out and kept our expensive health and prescription drug plans.

5. Had the misfortune of sitting next to a rich old lady Trump lover on the plane

She was complaining about the Dems impeaching the traitor and how awful it was for the country. I said they impeached Nixon and Clinton it didn't hurt the nation one bit.

Since she lost that argument, she said but they are going to give them Medicare. We (She assumed I was on Medicare because I'm almost eligible but I'm not yet.) worked for our Medicare and paid taxes. So she thinks they (not sure who they are) are going to get Medicare for free and golly gee, that's not fair, even though no one is going to take her wealth or Medicare away.

Greedy old bat. It's not good enough that she's set for life living well and healthy, she has to make sure"they" don't get the same deal she has.

Greed is NOT good. Using one of the 7 deadly vices as the basis of an economic And health care system is stupid. Let's pick another deadly vice. How about an economic system based on sloth...there's a plan.
