prepare for it accordingly. AI will soon mean the loss of millions of jobs. Some will be replaced with other types of jobs but not enough. Eventually, we will need a basic universal income stipend to ensure mass poverty doesn’t ensue.

UBI is inevitable. I'd love if if Dems are the party that starts this, because I think the coattails from this program will last for a long, long time.

Thanks to china, india, etc wages are trending down, not up.

Increased safety and fewer errors are just more reasons why this trend will not just continue - it will speed up, and spread to new areas. It's exciting and scary but also exhilarating, because I'm hopeful we'll implement Hawking's suggestion here
