Questions on Senate trial

Does Roberts have a say if Turtle holds a trial WITHOUT Articles of impeachment from the House? Can he refuse to attend? TY in advance

Just as the House set their rules for impeachment the Senate can set theirs.

A kangaroo court or any of McConnell's rigged procedures does not qualify as a fair trial. Announce that he will preside over a trial when the senate designs a fair one.
