Trump at his rally in Toledo!

He said the reason we didn’t attack Iran was didn’t have enough ammunition!

I just heard a clip of his remarks, not sure if anything else was said to clarify the statement!

But if this is a correct statement? Man, he lied yesterday, when he said we were the strongest force on earth!

Steffie Miller yesterday said it best,Iran launched 21 mid range ICBM's and purposely hit targets not to injure or kill any Americans and btw,Iraq was notified three hours ahead of any launch by the Iranians.

Factoid,China's Ambassador to Iran was in Terhren offering military and defense equipment if needed.

I went back to see if it was an old speech. It was from his rally in Michigan. They were on a live fed waiting for him to begin. I thought was tonight’s rally. Even though, it was moronic statement!

Sorry for any confusion. I will do better next time. And to those who wants links, sorry, I am all out

It is hard to keep up with the lies he spews. Like I, and others have said, it is likely a reference back to when he took office and said that "his generals" came to him and said we were running low on ammunition.

He likely used that line to try to bash President Obama about not attacking Iran before because we had no ammunition.

Just because President Obama used diplomacy to get the 6 most powerful nations in the world to get Iran to the table and make a workable agreement to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Just because by all metrics the agreement was being followed and adhered to. Trump had to tear it up and set all the wheels to the past week in motion.

He is an idiot and a liar. The only people who don't see it are the idiots who go to his rallies.

Donald Trump's Claim That the Military Ran Out of Ammunition Is 'Not True,' House Armed Services Committee Member Says
By David Brennan On 10/8/19 at 4:15 AM EDT

A Democratic member of Congress and Iraq War veteran has dismissed President Donald Trump's suggestion that the U.S. military had run out of ammunition when he took office.

Trump made the outlandish claim during a press conference following a briefing from senior military officials at the White House. He told assembled reporters that a "top general" explained the predicament when he took office in 2016.

"When I took over our military, we did not have ammunition," Trump said. "I was told by a top general, maybe the top of them all, 'Sir, I'm sorry sir, we don't have ammunition.' I said, 'I'll never let another president have that happen to him or her.' We didn't have ammunition."

Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego—a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who sits on the House Armed Services Committee—was among those which quickly challenged Trump's statement on social media.

"Again this is not true," he wrote on Twitter. "I get briefings as a member of the House Armed Services Committee on our munitions stockpile all over the world. We have never run out of ammunition."

Gallego added, "Who is this top general? I will put them under oath before the House Armed Services Committee."

He was likely using that same tired BS to blame President Obama for not "handling" Iran and thought he'd do a twofer with the "sir, we're low on ammunition sir". Remember that?

I don't have any context or information, but it sounds like something he would say to disparage President Obama. He has been on about how President Obama was weak and scared to attack Iran and he was "begging" Iran for something and he "gave Iran billions of dollars". It is sick and twisted, and all a lie. Just like almost everything else that comes out of his mouth.

We are the most powerful military in the world insomuch as we have the ability to project force anywhere and our soldiers are very well trained and equipped.

Certainly that does not mean that we can take on anybody and everybody like he makes it out to be.

There isn't any other military that could stand against ours in a conventional fight. The problem is that there are not really any conventional wars anymore. Malcolm Nance was talking about an incident that took place a year or two ago in Ukraine where Russian backed forces were trying to attack Ukranian forces. There were US operators in the area and they assisted the Ukranian forces and ended up destroying something like 300 tanks and fighting vehicles that Russia had supplied. Nance said, "The US military is unmatched in its ability to deploy destructive force to a large contingency of military assets." We blow stuff up well. The problem is that once we blow stuff up, we stick around and get involved in asymmetrical warfare where you aren't blowing up armored columns but contending with improvised bombs and enemies who blend into the scenery.
