We knew Tim ALLEN is a wingnut, but surprise: He slammed Don LEMON on a network, scripted sitcom.

I seldom (as in *never*) venture off the cable outlets, but did looking for something specific and ended up on a "new" Tim ALLEN sitcom that looks like the old Tim ALLEN sitcom. I didn't know he was still on, from being off a couple of years ago. Waiting for the next half hour for what I was looking for, I left it there.

Didn't look at it, doing the DU with the noise in the background. Then the old ears perked up to hear this:

Somebody: There's nothing wrong with me.
Tim ALLEN: There's something wrong with (you) anybody who watches Don LEMON.

Wow.

I'm not a fan, but the premise of the show is a conservative outdoorsman type living in an all woman household and having to deal with "lady stuff".

Allen's character acts like a jerk, and usually gets some sort of comeuppance, and everyone learns a lesson.

I believe it was revived as a benefit of the success of The Roseanne Show reboot.

Definitely aimed at the conservative viewer, and is not very good, but is pretty bland.

he also said this in an interview about it:

"And I like pissing people off, and I said there’s nothing, especially in this area, that pisses people off more than a very funny conservative."

And

"Liberals have a very small window of sense of humor about themselves, so I love poking at it."

So, I'd take his claim with a rather large grain of salt.

Well, at least he and Trump share a common pastime - cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Tim Allen Gets Asked About Donald Trump. And He Doesn’t Mince Any Words

Parker Lee

https://ijr.com/tim-allen-has-some-blunt-words-when-it-comes-to-the-smartest-thing-about-donald-trump/

Fans of Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing” know that title character Mike Baxter isn’t afraid to pull some political punches on the show.

Meanwhile, Allen – whose personal views don’t seem to stray too far from his character’s – is often called on to offer up his own political stances.

While celebrating the 100th episode of his hit ABC show, Allen was asked to share some of his views on Republican candidate Donald Trump and, in his usual fashion, he didn’t mince any words.

Speaking to Fox411, the comedian said:

“So the smartest thing about him, which is probably most overlooked, to me, is that he doesn’t owe anybody anything and if he would just stick to fixing the bridges, roads and infrastructures that’s what he knows how to do…just keep him doing that.

He says a lot of stupid stuff but what he can do, he should do.”

Allen added that, to him, “Trump is kind of in the spirit of old Greek tyrants” in that “they used to vote in a guy that had no encumbrances.”

In the past, the actor has stated that he would throw his support behind Ohio Governor John Kasich, saying that the candidate is “a Republican that a Democrat could vote for.” Allen has said that he considers himself to be a “center right” kind of guy when it comes to politics.

Rosanne Barr played a character, too.

He likely is in debt up to his eyeballs. That's why we can't see his taxes. His money came from his daddy (lost 1 billion in less than 10 years) and from laundering money from criminals and political enemies of the US. "Doesn't owe anybody" my ass!

The T.V. character is a bit more mild than real Tim Allen, but he's been saying racist and sexist stuff on his own as himself well before the show existed.

But then another network picked it up after Conservatives cried too much. It's basically his old show with the funny toolman gimick ripped out of it, and no Wilson to set the dad straight.
