Conservative group One Millions Moms is accusing Burger King of airing an inappropriate ad that crosses the line. The ad in question is for the Impossible Whooper, the vegetarian burger it launched in August.
One Million Moms is taking issue with a moment in the commercial when, as they write, One man is completely shocked that the burger is not beef, so he uses the d-word to describe how he feels about himself for being deceived by the taste of the burger.
The d-word referenced is damn. After taking a bite the man says, damn thats good.

One Million Moms is a division of the American Family Association which has been named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center because of its stance on LGBTQ issues and calls itself an organization for moms who are, fed up with the filth many segments of our society, especially the entertainment media, are throwing at our children. The organization has less than 100,000 Facebook followers but recently made headlines for igniting strong backlash to a Zola ad that aired on the Hallmark Channel and included a lesbian couple kissing. The ad was temporarily removed in response to the outcry, before the Hallmark CEO apologized and reinstated it.
With respect to the Burger King ad, One Million Moms has started a petition to have it removed from the air; so far roughly 8,500 people have signed it.
Burger Kings Impossible Whopper ad is irresponsible and tasteless. It is extremely destructive and damaging to impressionable children viewing the commercial, the organization writes in their call to action. We all know children repeat what they hear.
(Imagine their reaction when their kids repeat what they hear from the p****grabber, who they worship)
This is not the first time that the organization has targeted Burger King. In May 2019, they protested against Burger Kings Real Meals campaign which employed the term DGAF and the word pissed.
So far Burger King has not made a statement in response to One Million Moms and did not immediately reply to Yahoos request for comment.

(51,608 posts)When I started teaching 1st Grade I was told that so and so said the "S-word" and naturally assumed it was "shit". Since I didn't want them repeating it in front of the class I would have the little narc come up to me and whisper the S-word in my ear. It turned out their "S-word" was "stupid". I told them that is not a nice word to use when referring to another student and left it at that and tried not to laugh.
I was reading on DU this morning that Incels are considered a terrorist hate group in the US now by govt authorities. Maybe the Million Moms and the Incels could hook up and decide who is crazier and has more unjustified hate. Too bad they can't just implode. No one would miss any of them, I'm sure.... Damn it!

Its Not One Million Its One Meddling Mom
For years the main joke about the American Family Association's bombastically overstated One Million Moms (OMM) has involved its name itself. For obvious reasons. When an organization gives itself a grandiose name like that, the comedy is built-in.
...snip...
It's easy to be fooled into thinking the organization is larger than it is. But let's look at some evidence:
The Internet ranking site Alexa (not to be confused with your in-home listening device) gives OneMillionMoms.com a ranking of #1,133,944 in global internet engagement. That is extremely low. For comparison's sake, GLAAD's own page has a ranking that is ten times higher ranking than theirs.
One Million Moms has only 4,200 Twitter followers. Sure, not everyone uses social media, and it might even be fair to say that OMM's target audience uses it at a lower rate. But 4,200 followers? For a squad of supposedly one million? That follow rate doesn't add up.

(846 posts)Her name is Monica Cole. In the decade that One Million Moms has been an actual organization, she is quite literally the only staff member, the one and only person who appears on any of their petitions, and the one and only person who speaks for them to the media. She is the mom. She does get wingnut welfare to help promote her agenda. Gotta feed the outrage machine.

So David walking around with a sack full of dicks. The king wanted a hundred Philistine foreskins, but David gave him double!
