and tears welling up, along with the helplessness I feel about all those who have died or will die--both human and that irreplaceable wildlife is just decimating.

I can donate (and have) to organizations pursuing climate change activism. I can (and have) attended rallies and protests. All of that to date has meant nothing.

I'm angry and beyond sad and beyond depressed. But I still have to move forward. So, I now limit how much of the daily onslaught I let come in. I am not unaware. I am not turning away from the problem. Just fortifying for the long fight.

This is beyond devastating. My cousin from Australia can't stop crying. Her 2 sisters there had to evacuate so she paid for their tickets to come here and get some sanity since their home was already gone.

My heart bleeds, especially for the innocent animals who are dying by the billions.
