The Senate should not advance any judicial nominees while the person who nominates them is on trial. Period.

McConnell held up a SCOTUS nomination, but he didn't hold up all judicial nominations. There were eight District Court Judges and one Court of Appeals judge confirmed in 2016. The bigger problem was, sadly, that Obama basically stopped making nominations. He didn't make any district court nominations in 2016 and he didn't make any appeals court nominations in either 2016 OR 2015.
