Trump brushed off traumatic brain injuries of 34 American soldiers from Iran attack

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/34-soldiers-traumatic-brain-injuries-iran

President Donald Trump dismissed the suspected injuries Wednesday as “headaches.”

“No, I don’t consider them very serious injuries, relative to other injuries that I’ve seen,” Trump said during a press conference at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “I’ve seen people with no legs and no arms.”

Paul Rieckhoff, founder of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, told the Wall Street Journal that Trump’s comments were “really counterproductive because we’ve worked for the last decade-and-a-half to highlight and educate people about the invisible injuries of war.”

“He really displayed remarkable ignorance about what could be the signature injury of our generation,” he added.

Trump was talking big after the assassination of Solomani. He threatened Iran if they retaliated and it resulted in injuries or deaths of any American's.

If it would have come out - after Iran's rockets hurt any American's - he would have had to make a decision to retaliate. I don't think he could make that decision. He talks big - but is really afraid to act on his words many times.

So it was originally covered up that there were any casualties of Americans - so he didn't have to make that decision.

This info of the injuries of the 34 Americans wasn't released until the furor of Iran's retaliation was pushed off the front pages of the news papers.

Then he minimized the injuries to 'headaches' and not serious.

I believe that is what happened. Or maybe - there were some adults in the room that held him back from further retaliation by him.

I was wondering that night why we weren't hearing ANYTHING about what was happening to our soldiers, and how that could possibly be.

And, given this, I wouldn't be surprised if things were even worse and it's being hidden.

"No Americans were harmed in last night's attack by the Iranian regime. We suffered no casualties. All of our soldiers are safe and only minimal damage was sustained at our military bases," Trump said an address to the nation after the attack.

And I don't believe this story now for 1 second, they've changed the story 4 times now on wounded US soldiers. I'd bet the "some other things" part of the quote the op copied means lost limbs or worse.
