... Spring of 2018, trump was trying to develop the narrative that The Ukraine was responsible for the election interference, not Russia. At the time this was probably aimed at countering Meuller and the IC, and to carry Putin’s water in general. The Burisma/Biden scam may not have been on the front burner at the time.

It also shows that he has a very long and obviously close history with Parnas, the guy he doesn’t know.

It was the original quid pro quo, with Lutsenko demanding Yovanovitch removal in exchange for him gathering dirt on Biden.

Ambassador Yovanovitch was not actually called home until May 2019. She was called home because Lutsenko wanted her gone as part of the Burisma/Biden deal. But that wasn’t on their radar a year earlier when this tape was made.

Remember Parnas said trump had been trying to fire her for a year. And the Giuliani clown car was working several different angles over a long period of time. I’m sure Yavonovitch was a pain in their asses from the start.

just the Biden angle. And it depended on what timeframe you are in. Different entangled motives/impetus...defense of Manafort, ridding of Obama loyalists, revenge on suspected Clinton supporters, proving he won without Russian help. Biden dirt actually later in timeline.
