Were Senators like Murkowski, Collins, Romney, Tillis, and Gardner 'tricked' into committing to supporting Trump thru the entire process?
Did Trump and McConnell suck them into a private meeting and get them to promise to not vote against Donald Trump on anything the Democrats presented?
It does seem that Murkowski and Collins are angry at themselves. They have short fuses lately.
Did they "promise" McConnell and Trump to stand with them, regardless of the evidence that might come up?
And now, even with the evidence, they cannot break their "promise"?
That's what it looks like from this perspective.

(22,037 posts)Collins and Murkowski have always been bullshit.
Romney really wants to be the "man in the white hat" but he's nothing more than corporate milquetoast.
Gardner and Tillis are as full of trash as the first two.
If they are angry about the "deals" they may have made, they should renounce them and do the right thing.
Trust me, they won't.

(86,636 posts)do anything to make dear leader upset and, therefore, follow Lindsey the licker* (of things I won't mention here) for the lead in whatever he's told to do.
They should have all been disqualified from participating for that alone.
* Lapdog Lindsey also came to mind and I couldn't decide which to use.

(3,728 posts)there isn't a republican in Congress who doesn't know what trump is all about and it has been that way since day one.
They have just been looking the other way all along and will continue to do so.
