Geoff Bennett w/ Ali Velshi: "This is on track to end without witnesses or additional evidence"

Just now on MSNBC.

Looking like two days of Republican clown car on Monday & Tuesday, "Senators' Questions" after that, potential vote next Saturday, which "likely" will bring this to an end. So Trump will have his wish...before the Super Bowl and SOTU.

Anything could happen, this is based on projection and what is happening right now. No evidence of anything to the contrary.

The thought of Trump-anus taking a self-congratulating victory walk makes me want to yack.

expat and anti-Iran groups that demand war with Iran. Bolton was in-place to deliver the war, but failed. His book has the potential to bring home a big payday, and that is more important than speaking pro-bono at the Trump's trial. I expect him to do nothing to preserve the Constitution. He is just a fake patriot.

There was never a chance of removal. Just exposure of criminal behavior.

So what if it does go that way?

The SOTU is going to be a shit show; hopefully a tiny additional percentage of Trumpists are put off by his behavior.

And fuck the Superbowl. Pane et Circensis.

There's no place he'd rather take his victory lap.

He'll do it on Twitter and at Mar-a-Lago and his MAGAt rallies, but the SOTU will be the "sweet spot."

if our Speaker decided to allow no cameras but audio only. He can't handle not having the optics. He's so hard to listen to that a lot will tune him out quickly.

I know she's not snotty or vindictive but when it starts sounding like things could swing that way she stops, puts out her hand and says, "...for the children! We must do this for the children and their future!"

And prevent the (D) Representatives and Senators from sitting there looking disapproving while the (R)-folk clap.

All you'd "see" is Trump saying something and then applause.

I hope the congressmen remember to bring their fidget spinners.

Also, something I have learned while working as a substitute teacher is that no one can tell the difference between water and vodka in a water bottle. Maybe someone can pass a note to Congress about this, if they don't already know it.

...we had a guy who would buy a big plastic bottle of orange juice from the break truck, and would add vodka to it all day.

He was a fork lift operator.

We knew he was buzzed, but back in those days the machine operators would stand at their mail collators and chug beer all day.

When we knew for certain what he was doing, we took him off fork lift duty and put him at a non-mechanical station where he couldn't hurt himself or anyone else.

He either quit or was fired shortly after that...I don't recall which, I just know that he whined and pouted and then he was gone.

There's a definite corollary in there for the GOP.
