(26,748 posts)I have no trouble believing that the ambassador did the right thing in testifying... but he had to know that it would cost him his job. Ambassadors represent the president to other countries. Obviously any president would replace anyone who wasnt in line with him.

Replacing a subordinate who isnt in line with your objectives isnt wrong in itself.
I would expect a good president OR a bad one to have Ambassadors (or NSC staff) who are in line with their positions. Only a bad one would order a hit. Thus a hit tells you that hes bad... doing what any president would do doesnt
