I get past the Trump Humpers by feigning ignorance

Like zombies! My sister continually made me so mad by declaring that I don't follow politics, but that's total gaslighting. Even though she knows I'm from California and am liberal as hell, she says, "I know you don't know what's happening..."

I keep my mouth shut because I don't want to engage in a fruitless argument. But her son (my also liberal nephew) revealed to her that I know everything that's happening, but I just don't want to fight.

She accepted the response and promised not to talk politics with me anymore. Thank God.

If you're forced to deal with crazed Trumpers who try to evangelize, just gaslight them.

"Trump? Like, wasn't he impeached or something? I think I read he's not the President right now. I think it's the Vice President or something. Not really sure."

They'll never bring it up again. Like most zealots they'll consider you a lost soul who can't be saved, and they'll move on

gone but we will still be together. To me, Mr. Trump is NOT worth losing anyone I love, therefore I had to look beyond my opinions as well as theirs, and so far so good!
