I detested Blago as much as I have any Republican. He was the epitome of corruption. Years ago, I was transferred by my company to Chicago and got to experience a taste of Chicago politics in a shakedown over getting the city to build a sidewalk in front of our facility, which I managed. The city official I dealt with frequently name-dropped Blago and Jesse Jr in every meeting and, of course, asked for campaign donations. Since then, anytime a Chicago pol gets in trouble, I love it. And pardoning one of them is despicable!

When I finally talked my VP into approving a $3,000 donation, I got my sidewalk! Lol
