But thats about to change.
Literally, empty shelves in Target and Walmart as early as April, predicts David Iwinski, a local China business consultant who once ran a factory in China.

(2,220 posts)About a year ago, they started this huge reset, then kinda stopped in the middle. Im not lying when I say there are empty and half empty aisles and aisles full of just one specific product, presumably something they havent sold much of. I dont even bother with that store anymore.

(2,520 posts)It takes a minute but is just as effective. If people are hung up on hand sanitizer as the only solution then they are creating their own problems.

(58,706 posts)but, yeah, my hand washing will go up. I don't go out in public much, but when I do, I'll be taking what chances I can to wash up.
The only time one would conceivably need hand sanitizer is when they are not near a bathroom. Alcohol is a lot more drying to the skin than soap and water too.

(17,988 posts)Honestly I have noticed empty shelves on a number of groceries in the last 6 months.
That includes Walmart and Meijer a local chain. So far Kroger is fine but the Pharmacy has really deteriorated. Technicians that know nothing and Pharmacists less. They used to be so good.

(7,323 posts)Since it's all made in China, does that mean there won't be any campaign items like buttons or bumper stickers?

(32,719 posts)First stop was at the Amish store for basics. Everything normal.
Next was Meijers, the big store in town. Not much of a crowd and found about everything. Last little bottle of hand san. was on the shelf. Lots of bleach and other cleaning items being lined up in the aisles, lots of it.
Wonder what it'll look like next week.

(11,686 posts)The bare spots usually are in box stores. The one place ( so far ) that has not had a shortage of hand sanitizers has been Bath and Body Works.
