Lindsey's main election strategy is to kiss every butt in sight and hope the winner has coattails (or a long hem, whichever).

Sometimes, "bless your heart" means that we empathize. Sometimes it is an expression of condolences. More often that not, it means you dumb shit. Of course, we would never tell someone we think them unintelligent - that would be "ugly."

of their zero-tolerance rules for obscene language. Southern conservatives can't control a lot of bad things in this world, but they long ago decided they could take a highly principled and righteous stand against obscenities and ungodly language in public.

Ol' Lindsey's gotten carried away by the rabble who show up to Trump's rallies and forgotten what matters to respectable people. He's been dropping "damn"s and F-bombs as frequently as Trump.

"Thank you, more than anything else, for putting up with the never-ending bullshit you have to go through," Graham yesterday.

Almost all results are in from Saturday’s South Carolina Democratic primary, and former Vice President Joe Biden has picked up his first win in the race. For South Carolina, there was another milestone: a near-record primary turnout.

With 94 percent of precincts reporting, and the final 6 percent nearly finished with their tallies, South Carolina’s Election Commission has found 524,000 voters cast ballots in Saturday’s primary.

That total would appear to put the state on track to nearly match — or perhaps surpass — the turnout record set during Barack Obama’s first presidential race in 2008, when 532,000 voters participated, according to pollster and political analyst John Couvillon.

according to observers.

This is the case for ALL our Democratic candidates in all races. Biden has very long, confidence-building coattails. Sanders has less than none. Even some Democrats would do their traditional stupid thing of "balancing" a presidential candidate who's too far-left for their comfort with a Republican congress.

"If Bernie Sanders is on the ticket then it's the same as if General Grant was invading the Palmetto State," said David Woodard, a retired political science professor at Clemson University who managed Graham's first congressional race in 1994.

If Harrison is within the margin of error and 5%of Sanders supporters are so alienated that they don’t show up, the math starts to look really bad. There is such a push to make him not a “real Democrat" that we are risking alienating, arguably, the youngest and most passionate part of our party.

slightest help from other Democrats to decide which candidate they'll vote for if not him.

That leaves the same kinds as in 2016 who are conservatives or other hostiles who despise the Democratic Party, about a quarter of his voters in 2016. Sanders has only hardened the attitudes of the latter with lies against Democrats, but they were never ours to "include." Some will vote for Trump -- again -- and others will use some other figure to express their rejection, and hope as many as possible notice their principled stands.

Btw, in 2016 most of that mercifully small number were absolutely enraged, many angrily denouncing Sanders himself, by his long-delayed, obviously insincere wink-wink endorsement of Hillary. Lol, remembering. (Might as well laugh.) Some shared beliefs on a hostile little nest they retreated to about how Hillary had him kidnapped and beaten into agreeing to endorse, and in another version he only gave in because she threatened the lives of his grandchildren. A tiny pink mark on his cheek in a photo was posted as evidence they couldn't cover up of the beating. Whack jobs.

Imo, even though Trump/Repubs are doing a pretty good job on their own, we need to focus on helping them get out the vote of unengaged but rational people who aren't too poisoned by anti-Democratic Party lies to make sensible choices. There are many millions of those.

This is the case for ALL our Democratic candidates in all races. Biden has very long, confidence-building coattails that could sweep in Democratic majorities in Washington and across the nation.

Sanders has less than none. Even some Democrats would do their traditional dysfunctional thing of "balancing" a presidential candidate who's too far-left for their comfort with a Republican congress.

A little hyperbole, maybe, but the man knows his SC indies who could either potentially go Biden or grab their guns to repel the invaders.

I believe it either involves prison time, or a direct physical threat to his family. His complete instant reversal of character, friendships, integrity, makes me think that he is terrified of something being held over his head.
