People are sleeping and might not get the warnings. I hope the death toll does not go higher. I hate living in tornado alley.

That radio saved us from being hurt in one a few years ago. It took off the roof of our house and if it had not been for that radio we would have been hurt no doubt.

A powerful storm moved through Middle Tennessee in the early hours of Tuesday morning, spawning tornado activity that ripped through parts of Nashville and neighboring counties shortly before 1 a.m.

At least 19 people have died in four counties, a grim toll that grew sharply with the announcement just after 9 a.m. that 14 people perished in Putnam County alone. TEMA spokesman Maggie Hannan confirmed the Putnam County fatalities.

State and city officials have said two people have died in Davidson County, two in Wilson County and one in Benton counties.

Officials said a third person in Wilson County died as a result of medical problems.

To me it seems this event is far worse then they originally thought, and much worse than any other tornado that’s rumbled through here.

Not the kind of landscape you expect to see tornado in.

When the storms came by us, it woke me and the dog. We went in the basement to wait it out. But we got nothing too bad here in East TN.

Sorry to hear about all the deaths and damage.
