I don't get it. Why is being anti-colonial a bad thing?

When he was on Bill Maher he was also talking about it as though it was a horror of horrors -- Obama was anti-colonialist! OMG!

I sure hope Dinesh doesn't have one of those 3-hour in-depth feature spots on Book-TV.

2. I hope the anti colonial concern isn't related to Romney's plan to increase the defense budget

This occurred to me today when I thought about why he wants to increase the defense budget. I am really hoping that the world won't have to find out because President Obama will be re elected, but the thought of why Romney might want increased defense spending is truly scary.

3. To the right-wing intelligentsia, it is meant to evoke what they consider to be a "savage."

The Mau Mau specifically. The the right-wing types, colonialism was and indeed is a perfectly good means of global rule. They consider it benificent and a measure of "human rights."
