Excerpts from Pelley's interview with President Obama
Two days after formally accepting the Democratic nomination for president, President Barack Obama sits down with CBS Evening News Anchor and Managing Editor Scott Pelley on Saturday in St. Petersburg, Fla., and excerpts of their interview will run Sunday on "Face the Nation."

Often called the "architect" of Obama's 2008 campaign, White House Senior adviser David Plouffe sits down to talk about the election. VP candidate Paul Ryan

Insight and analysis from the New York Times Chief Washington Correspondent David Sanger, CBS News Political Director John Dickerson, Washington Post Columnist Michael Gerson and Vanity Fair Contributing Editor Dee Dee Myers

Meet The Press
David Gregory sat down with GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney for a wide-ranging, in-depth interview, over the course of two days. Part of the conversation included a behind-the-scenes bus ride with the governor and his wife, Ann. Watch Meet the Press Sunday for the full exclusive interview.

In an preview of Sunday’s exclusive interview with Mitt Romney, the Governor tells David Gregory GOP lawmakers made a "big mistake" in signing off on the deal, which prevented a U.S. default on its borrowing obligations.

As the Democrats head home from Charlotte, both sides are gearing up for the remaining two months until election day. What will be the dividing lines for November? And how will each campaign try to win over the all-important demographics like women and Latinos? Our roundtable weighs in: Rising star in the Democratic party who gave the keynote address on Tuesday night at the DNC, San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro; the Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan; the Washington Post’s EJ Dionne; Fmr. Secretary of Education Bill Bennett; and NBC’s Political Director and Chief White House Correspondent, Chuck Todd

ABC This Week
As the general election season heads into the final stretch, Republican vice presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan joins George Stephanopoulos, Sunday on "This Week."

President Obama went on offense in his convention acceptance speech this week, defending his record and asking Americans for four more years in office. Did he convince voters that he deserves a second term? Or will the latest disappointing jobs report, showing just 93,000 jobs added in August, undermine the president's re-election message? Can Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan make the case for their own policies to spur the economy, and win over undecided voters?

In his first Sunday show appearance as the Republican vice presidential nominee, Rep. Paul Ryan speaks to George Stephanopoulos, Sunday on "This Week."

Then, the "This Week" powerhouse roundtable debates the Republican and Democratic conventions and the latest in the 2012 presidential contest, with Newark Mayor Cory Booker, co-chair of the Democratic platform committee; Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., author of the new book "Government Bullies"; ABC News' George Will; ABC News' Cokie Roberts; and Nobel Prize-winning New York Times columnist Paul Krugman

As the party conventions conclude with less than two months until Election Day, which presidential ticket made the strongest argument for their election in November? Did President Obama's appeal for more time to improve the economy resonate with voters? Or did Mitt Romney sell himself as the candidate to turn around the stalled economy? And as the country faces the 43rd month in a row with joblessness above 8 percent, should the Federal Reserve do more to stimulate the economy?

Fox News Sunday
The Republican and Democratic Conventions have concluded and Election Day is less than two months away. We’ll talk exclusively with Glenn Hubbard, Senior Economic Adviser for the Romney Campaign and former Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers and President Obama supporter, Austan Goolsbee

Plus, we’ll talk to a rising star of the Republican Party, Mayor Mia Love, who caught the eyes of many Americans during her speech at the Republican convention.

CNN State of The Union
The conventions gave us two distinct visions of the government’s role in America’s future, and the fall campaign will be a debate over which vision America wants.

We’ll have an exclusive interview with Gov. Jerry Brown about the tough fiscal choices he’s making to keep California on track and the political minefield that goes along with it.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich went head-to-head with Bill Clinton in the 1990’s. He’s here to discuss how Mitt Romney can stop Barack Obama’s biggest weapon.

“Are you better off than you were four years ago?” Mitt Romney is asking that question amid another troubling economic report. We’ll talk to Democratic Convention speaker and the co-founder of CarMax, Austin Ligon, and Former Bush Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez

And finally, we’ll preview the week’s political talking points with Peter Baker of The New York Times and A.B Stoddard of “The Hill”

Fareed Zakaria GPS
On GPS Sunday: Is the Republican Party too angry? And is a global food crunch coming?

On Fareed Zakaria GPS on Sunday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET: Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, and of course, the U.S. economy and elections.

First, Fareed looks at why the optimistic Republican Party of Ronald Reagan seems to have swapped places with the glum Democratic Party of the 1970s and 1980s.

“Today it is the Republican Party that often seems angry with America,” Fareed says. “Read the best-selling books by conservatives these days, watch Fox News or attend a Tea Party rally. They are filled with rage, often combined with a powerful nostalgia for an America that has gone away.”

Also on the show, a foreign affairs panel that includes Anne-Marie Slaughter, Richard Haass, and Martin Indyk; investor Roger Altman and historian Niall Ferguson debate whether we will be better off in four years; and in What in the World, Fareed takes a look at a looming crisis no one is talking about: the global food crunch.

Finally, the U.S. elections by the numbers, including a 1-on-1 with statistician Nate Silver
